Fuel for Sport

Nutrition and hydration guidance for athletes and their families.
Basketball Gameplay Action

How an athlete fuels their body is significant. What you eat and the timing of what you eat all impact how fast a body moves, how a body is able to sustain energy and focus as well as recovery from injury.

Sport families tend to have irregular schedules and less time to prepare the meals you can outside of season (If there is one!). We have a brief program to help you know how to fuel yourself/your child considering your tight schedules and the different demands depending on your sport.

For: Parents of kids who are involved in athletics or are regularly active. This program is focused on guiding older athletes and/or parents to provide fuel that focuses on energy, muscle recovery and growth, speed, endurance and hydration. The recipes for meal planning are geared towards the busy household with tight schedules. Easy to grab snacks for a long day at the baseball diamond or dance competition that provide the above essentials for peak performance are a part of the planning.

Program Includes:

Consultation and guidance from a certified health coach, personal trainer and athlete,

1. 45-minute meeting with parents (teen may attend) to identify the type of fueling needed based on your child's athletic performance goals or needs due to level of activity. Goals are developed at the first meeting.

2. 45-minute meeting to review suggestions for types of nutrition, eating behaviors (before a game, recovery, sustainability), snack ideas and recipes for a busy household.

Cost: Fuel for Sport Program $250; $50 per 30-minute optional follow up calls.
