Parent & Caregiver Consultation

Parent/Caregiver Consultations are intended to provide guidance, mental health education or short-term support for parents/caregivers who are seeking parenting help but do not think mental health counseling or treatment is needed, or are unsure if that level of care is needed for themselves or their child. 

 

  • Parent(s)/Caregiver(s) only 

 

  • Brief, 30 minute sessions 

 

  • Consultation is considered a support service versus a treatment service

 

  • Referrals to counseling or other mental health services can  be offered  as part of the consultation

 

  • All consultations are self-pay only

Unpaid Caregiver Training (*CLTS)

All referrals for the Unpaid Parent/Caregiver Training must be made through a child's CLTS case manager. A referral form is found on the home page of this website.

  • Training focuses on empowering parents with additional skills related to parenting or caregiving a child with special needs.

  • Topics for training including communication styles/techniques, parent-child interaction and emotional regulation.

  • Above trainings include 12, 60-minute meetings in a 6 month period.
